Born in Castleford West Yorkshire. Studied graphic design at Wakefield College before deciding to persue a full time career as a professional artist
After continually painting for several years - including paintings of several famous rock stars - she came to the attention of Hard Rock Cafe Intl U.S.A.
Her paintings are now on display at The Hard Rock Cafe chain L.A and also the world famous Bel Air Hotel, Los Angeles.
The highlight of her career was a commission to paint a portrait of Prince Charles for his 50th birthday which she presented to him in person.
Joanne was also commissioned to paint a portrait of the late INXS singer Michael Hutchence.
In 2004 - world renowned jazz photographer, Herman Leonard opened his archives, allowing paintings to be poduced from his vast collection of Black and White images. Joanne has full use of these archives and has chosen some of her favourite subjects to immortalise on canvas.
In 2013 the British Film Institute allowed Joanne full access to Bkack & White movie stills. These include “The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘Gone With The Wind’ to be reproduced as original paintings.
Joanne’s paintings appear in public and private collections throughout Europe and the United States of America.
