Biography: Barry Pickersgill
Berry served am apprenticeship as an artist in a large commercial studio in Leeds.From age 15.
Barry studied at Cambridge College of Art before engaging in a career as a graphic artist,Illustrator and cartoonist.
‘My work has been seen on a large number of T.V programs and shows. I was the
regular cartoonist gor The Mews and Current Affairs on Yorkshire Television for
many years. Barry has exhibited widely in the Yorkshire area.
My work is in the collections of among others a former prime minister, a major merchant bank, a champion boxer and several English cricketers.
I work mainly in Acrylics as the quick drying properties of this medium suit my style of working-a legacy of my work as an illustrator and graphic-artist and the hectic schedules of the commercial art world.
