Biography: Deborah Frith
Deborah began her early career in the ceramics industry working for Royal Doulton amongst others. After completing a HDN in ceramics at North Staffordshire Polytechnic (now Staffordshire University) she also has a degree in Graphic Design and a certificate in Education, however she has always persued creating work in a variety of forms, sculpture, collage work, paintings and ceramics.
Then in 2014 she produced 13 trophies for the Canterbury Culture Awards in porcelaine and as a result her life began to go in a different direction
Deborah was then commissioned to create 8 large paintings for the mount Pleasant Hotel
In Bawtry nr Doncaster and further more she was commissioned to create and deliver a
War memorial foe Ellistown near Coalville.
Also in 2014 Deborah won the best environmental exhibit in Teignmouth Trail 17, then In 2018 best exhibit with Womens Work and was invited to exhibit at the Devon Guild Of Craftsmen, North Devon.
In 2022 she was commissioned to undertake numerous workshops to create various images of fish for MyfishGY a collaborative work for which the final work was shown on large buildings in Grimsby.
Her next project is to create stonework for Davie Fine Art and 2 stone rabbits for Boston
Castle, Rotherham. Deborah likes to create sculptures and paintings in a variety of materials including Ceramics which she has a lifelong passion for.
